Back to School is right around the corner, and we are excited about the 2014-2015 school year. Please refer to the Athens Drive web site for Back to School Information, including schedule distribution information!

SCHEDULE DISTRIBUTION:
Students can pick up their schedules from the school in the cafeteria during the following times:
- 9th Graders: August 12 from 1pm-3pm
- 12th Graders: August 13 from 12pm-2pm
- 11th Graders: August 14 from 8am-10am
- 10th Graders : August 14 from 12pm-2pm
- Students may also pick up their schedules from Student Services after these dates, but we encourage you to try to pick up during the designated times as we will have personnel on hand to give out schedules.
A NOTE ABOUT POWERSCHOOLS PARENT PORTAL AND STUDENT ACCESS:
- The parent portal will be open again on August 15. Parents should be able to view schedules of students electronically on this date.
- Parents will be able to navigate Powerschools, but student accounts have been disabled.
- Students will be able to get information about reactivating Powerschool accounts when they pick up schedules or on the first day of school for 2014-2015.
ABOUT SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUESTS:
- Every effort has been made in the scheduling process to schedule students in courses that they need and want. In some cases we had to use alternates to complete schedules. If a student was scheduled into an alternate, Student Services will not be able to honor a schedule change unless the course in which the student is enrolled is a course the student has taken or one that the student has not met a prerequisite for.
- The only department that can change schedules is Student Services. Assistant Principals and Teachers are not able to change any schedules. All requests should go through Student Services on the electronic form.
- Freshmen Schedule Change Requests (THIS FORM IS ONLY FOR CURRENT FRESHMEN TO REQUEST A CHANGE IN SCHEDULE)

- Please familiarize yourself with our Schedule Change Request Process
- Students and parents will notice that in the list of courses to add on the electronic form, we have listed ONLY courses where there are available seats for electives.
- Due to opening of school and required activities for the counselors and staff, counselors are not able to see students and parents for schedule adjustments. Please make sure that you are documenting on the form; if a counselor needs to consult with a parent or student, he or she will make contact to resolve the issue.
- Any student requesting Early Graduation, Early Dismissal, or Dual Enrollment should see Mrs. Brown, the Dean of Students, for information.
INFORMATION ABOUT SPECIFIC COURSES AT ATHENS DRIVE FOR 2014-2015:
- STUDENT LEADERSHIP, a 12th Grade course, is not able to be added. Only students who applied will be allowed to be in the class and only teachers who submitted a request in the spring will be assigned a Student Leader.
- We no longer offer Cabinetmaking at Athens. We are transitioning to Carpentry; therefore, any student who registered for Cabinetmaking I was scheduled into Core and Sustainable Construction, and students who registered for Cabinetmaking II or III were given Core and Sustainable Construction and Carpentry I, when possible.
