I hope the first week of school went smoothly for your students!
- The Fall Meet the Teacher Open House will be in the evening on Thursday, September 18; you will have an opportunity to follow your student’s schedule with a brief visit to each classroom to hear from the teachers.
- The first PTSA General Meeting of the year will be held prior to the start of the September 18 Open House and there may be a chance to learn about various clubs and activities at the school–more details about the event on September 18 will be sent out closer to the date.
Thank you to the many people who have joined the PTSA to show their support of the students and the teachers at Athens Drive; it is not too late to join if you have not already done so. There will be an opportunity to join in person on September 18 or you can go to the PTSA website and click the JOIN button.
While on our website, you can also link your Harris Teeter VIC card to benefit the Athens Drive PTSA.
Whether you are planning to volunteer on behalf of the PTSA, the Jag Club Athletic Boosters or one of the arts booster organizations, you must remember to register as a WCPSS volunteer at the start of every school year. The librarians at the Athens Drive Community Library can direct you to the computers where you can register; it only takes a few minutes but you will need your driver’s license number. Don’t forget to register!
