Athens Gymnast, Alyssa Tucker, recently signed her National Letter of Intent to attend Southeast Missouri State University.  This great moment occured at her club gym, Team Attraction Gymnastics, in Apex.

Alyssa was offered and accepted a full gymnastics scholarship. She will be a member of the 2013/2014 SEMO Redhawks in  Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She begins her next phase of her life on August 26, 2013.

Join the Athens Athletic Department and Jag Club in congratulating this outstanding young gymnast. We wish her a fantastic college career both in the classroom and in the gym!

 The ADHS football athletes will raise funds for our Team by performing max lifts on both bench and squat in the lower gym.

Sponsor an Athlete: We are currently accepting sponsors! Anyone can sponsor a player with a single donation, or add some incentive by donating on a “per pound lifted” basis.  Family, friends, relatives, neighbors, local businesses, can sponsor a player.  Proceeds will help to replace aging equipment, purchase new uniforms, and a new rubberized floor in the weight room.  Please consider sponsoring a player and attend a great event!

MacNair Farm’s 5K Trail Run

  Sat Aug 10 at 8 a.m.

Open to all runners, all abilities!

You don’t want to miss this great run!

This course is located on 290 acres of beautiful farmland. 

The race will take you through fields, woods, and around the scenic grounds of this south Raleigh horse complex.

There will be a little mud, water, woods, and all things trail!

Please note, due to the terrain, this race is not suitable to any type of jogging strollers.

Sign up at Active.com by August 6^th, 2013. Package pick up is Friday August 9^th, 4-7 p.m. at Omega Sports in Crossroads-Cary OR at race site 7 a.m. August 10^th.
