The need?

• There were between 50-60 students in the 2016-2017 school year who were considered homeless (living in hotels, with
  friends/relatives, shelters)
• 43.52% of students are on free/reduced lunch in 2016-2017 at Athens Drive.

What we already have …

• Food Pantry in Student Services.
• Ekklesia Church providing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
• Reactive teachers!

Our plan:

• Start a backpack buddies program here at Athens!
• Send identified students home with food to get them through the weekend
  • 3 dinners, 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts, and 2 snacks
• Have each week of the month covered by a business/church group etc.
• Have food donations dropped off by Wednesday
• Pack drawstring backpacks on Thursday
• Distribute Friday of each week

How can YOU help?

• Draw string backpacks – do you have one sitting around your house?  Send it in to Student Services!
• Volunteers to pack the backpacks – let us know you’re interested

The Cary Music & Arts Festival (CMAF) will be held at Koka Booth Amphitheatre  from 4:30pm to 8:30pmon Sunday, April 23, 2017.  The Athens Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble will be performing.

To support the festival, Buy a Shout Out for $25. 

There is also the opportunity to buy an ad to be placed in the Program.  Below is the information on the available ad levels and additional benefits:

Wake County Schools Offer – 2016 N.C. State Fair Gate Admission – Good Any One Day

You can support Athens Drive High School by buying your 2016 NC State Fair Tickets online.

To purchase Tickets CLICK HERE to go to the website where your can order the tickets. Then order your tickets and indicate Athens Drive Magnet High School’s school code, 318.

Athens Drive Magnet High School receives a portion of the proceeds for each ticket sold using our school code.

We will receive $2.00 for each adult ticket and $1.00 for each child’s ticket sold.

Thank you for helping to support our school! See you at the fair!

Tickets purchased online prior to 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, 10/13/16 are eligible. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be distributed to ADMHS after the Fair.  PTA will help manage the promotion, and the school (not the PTA) will receive a check in the end.

Here’s an excellent way for you to get your advance gate tickets to the NC State Fair (October 17-27) and help Athens Drive High School raise money for the school.

For every $7.00 adult advance ticket sold, two dollars will be returned to the school.

For every children’s advance ticket ($3.00), one dollar will be returned to the school.
