]]> Because of Hurricane Florence, we needed to pack up the Backpack Buddies bags today to be sent home Wednesday. THANK  YOU to everyone who answered our desperate plea for early donations!!! We know you probably had to fight crowds at the grocery stores in order to get your donation items. Please know that your efforts are SO appreciated by the Backpack Buddies coordinators, and especially by the students who will receive the food! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to pack up extra items to provide for the additional meals these students will be missing due to the school being closed on Friday. Just look at all these FULL bags!

Thank you also to the staff for letting us take over the Teacher’s Lounge for packing up since our usual packing space was being used for a class today.   : )
