GRADUATION DATE: Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at 12 pm at the Raleigh Convention Center
SENIOR BREAKFAST: Our traditional Senior Breakfast is scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in Jaguar Stadium! To make this enjoyable event happen, we need Senior Parents/Guardians to help! The Senior Breakfast is a fun event to kick-off the final Quarter of the school year with food, Graduation information, and prizes! ANYONE interested in finding out how they can help make this event the best one ever needs to join us! ***Visit the Senior Breakfast page for more information.*** Thank you for your support of our Senior Class!
CAP AND GOWN INFORMATION: Each Senior is responsible for purchasing their own Cap and Gown, or they can borrow one from a previous Athens Drive Graduate. The Cap and Gown is royal blue and will include a 2024 orange tassel. The ordering packets the Seniors received also contain information about custom printed Athens Graduation announcements, spirit wear, and so much more. You can order online by visiting www.jostens.com or you can order in-person by filling out the order form and either mailing it (along with payment) to the address listed. Please remember that the Graduation Fee of $60.00 is a separate fee and needs to be paid online through the Athens Drive website online payment system or in-person to the Main Office. If a Senior or family has any questions, they can contact Mr. Remaley (cremaley@wcpss.net), our Senior Class Advisor.
SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS: The Athens Drive PTSA offers three $500 scholarships for the following categories:
- All-Around: for students who perform well academically and are active in school and their community.
- Civic Minded: for the students who are particularly passionate about volunteerism, whether it be in school, in their community, or both.
- Overcoming Adversity: for the students who have faced challenges, such as learning disabilities, illness, family problems, or other issues, and continued to be successful in high school.

Other Important Information
PARKING PASS: Parking passes for Juniors and Seniors in good standing for the 2022 – 2023 school year are now available. Students interested in securing a Parking pass for the 2022 – 2023 school year should carefully read and follow the guidelines on the application. To complete the Parking Pass Application process, please be sure to do the following:
- Complete the Online Parking Form
- Print and complete the One-Page Paper Application (which includes a signed copy of the Athens Drive Magnet High School and Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Rules and Regulations). Please note the dates for accepting applications.
- Make a clear copy of your valid North Carolina Driver’s License (permanent license, not a permit) and Vehicle Registration(s).
- Students must not have any outstanding fees and fines (the Main Office Staff will verify this). A Parking Tag will not be issued if a student has any outstanding fees or fines.
The cost of a Parking Pass is $200.00 for the year. Parking tags may be picked up beginning on Monday, August 2nd between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please know that Parking Passes and Off-Campus Lunch Passes are two separate applications.
OFF-CAMPUS LUNCH PASS: Off-Campus Lunch passes for Juniors and Seniors in good standing for the 2022 – 2023 school year are also now available. A Junior or Senior student cannot leave campus during Lunch without having an authorized Off-Campus Lunch pass. Freshmen and Sophomores are NEVER allowed to leave campus during the school day, unless on an approved school trip. To complete this process, please visit the Off-Campus Lunch Pass information page on the Athens Drive Magnet High School website and please note the following:
- The student must be a Junior or Senior.
- The student must not have any outstanding fees and fines due to Athens Drive Magnet High School.
- The student must have the parent/guardian sign the Off-Campus Lunch Pass application.
Please know the 2022 – 2023 Off-Campus Lunch Pass Application Form can be found on the school’s website. The cost for a 2022 – 2023 Off-Campus Lunch Pass is $5.00. The completed form needs to be emailed to the School Receptionist, Ms. Gattens (emgattens@wcpss.net) or physically brought to the school to the Main Office to turn it in. Please know that since the school did not take student photographs last year due to COVID-19, the school will need to make every Off-Campus Lunch Pass in the Main Office. A completed application and $5.00 fee must be provided before the school can create an Off-Campus Lunch Pass for a student. Please know that Parking passes and Off Campus Lunch passes are two separate applications.
