These snow days may get a little boring, or you may want to find something for your students to do after having fun in the snow, so here are some suggestions:
- Head over to Study Island and have students complete some modules in Study Island. Study Island has some great activities to brush up and review (or get ahead) on Math I (under Algebra I), Math II (under Geometry), Algebra II, Biology, Chemistry, Civics and Economics, US History, American History I, Physical Science, Physics, and English I, II, and III. All of these courses and activities in Study Island have been aligned to the Common Core and NC Essential Standards!
- Have your student go over to Khan Academy at www.khanacademy.org and explore some of the modules there to keep math and science fresh in their minds. There are also some modules on Humanities.
- Registration is around the corner- we will be registering in March– so students could spend a little time brainstorming courses for 2014-2015. This might be a good time for students who are interested in some of our application programs (Yearbook, Early Childhood Education, Student Leadership, PEPI, Media Assistants, etc.) to head over to our Registration site and complete the online applications for these courses or download those that are available. The site is not complete, but all of the applications for courses are up and ready! You will find the application course section towards the bottom of the page!
Happy Learning!
